Hospices always need volunteers. Over 100,000 people volunteer in hospices across the UK (source 'Help the Hospices'  www.helpthehospices.org.uk and there are numerous ways & opportunities for you to help the Butterfly Hospice Trust and it's future users and their carers.

Volunteers - we need volunteers help to raise sufficient funds to maintain hospice once built.  Your skills and experience are valuable: and being a volunteer is also a chance to make new friends, face new challenges and learn new skills.

Volunteers work in our office and in our two shops and there is a HUGE number of people out there in the community doing their bit for Butterfly.  We attend shows, to spread the word and always need help to staff these, chat to the public, hand out leaflets, bake  cakes for selling, run a tombola & much more.

Happenings - we need your help to organise fund raising events. From a simple Karaoke evening at your local 'pub to involving your local church in a 'Benefit's service, or something more daring such as an abseil or fire walk.  Ideally, it could be something which involves lots of people - to help with the organisation and to support the event and maybe hold an event of their own: such as Tea At Three or Wine at Nine.   We can help with posters and leaflets to advertise it.

Raising our profile - Could you represent your village or local area? We want local communities to have a voice in developing the Hospice.  Skills required are enthusiasm, commitment, time and the ability to work with & represent local people.

Practical Help. We also need help to circulate our newsletters & leaflets and assist with Collecting Boxes. Our region extends from Holbeach/Spalding in the south, up to Spilsby and Horncastle and across to Skegness on the coast.  We are always looking for volunteers to take responsibility for a little patch, so that we establish continuity of contact with the shops, the pubs, the businesses who have our collecting boxes or newsletters.

There are numerous  ways in which to help. Not least providing new ideas for fund raising.
