The hospice project continues to grow,  with fundraising and support from local communities ranging from Skegness to Horncastle down to Spalding in the south.

BHT submitted a funding bid to NHS Lincs (May 2010) and is gearing up for the next stage of the process. Originally it was not expected that the Trust would be in a position to deliver in-patient beds immediately subsequent to opening the first phase of the hospice as NHS funding to run the hospice was uncertain.

However, the position on all fronts is constantly changing. Progress is being made with the build - our funding application is in and being assessed by NHS Lincs and potential partnerships with other care providers are being progressed.

We need your continuing help & support as the Trust still needs to raise sufficient funds to fit out the first phase of the hospice once built and to raise money or sponsorship for furniture and equipment.

Celebrate Life”   Butterfly Release. 12th September 11.am at Westwood Lakes, Wyberton.  Due to an  overwhelming response and as the butterflies are specially grown for us, we are unable to provide anymore for release this year. Although everyone is welcome to join us on the day when invitations for next year will be available.

BHT began phase one of the hospice, in 2009 with the road nearly in and the site enclosed.  The ground was stripped out ready for foundation work to commence.  Christmas and subsequent bad weather stopped progress but work is now well underway with Bricklaying teams in - the walls are going up fast and  roof trusses nearly in placeLink to our Facebook Page - click on PHOTOS
