After eleven years of hard work, fundraising and support from local communities, businesses and hundreds of volunteers, the Trust has reached a critical milestone in this exciting project. The hospice building was opened by the Princess Royal on 11th April 2011.
Our aim continues to be the provision of in-patient care in a specialist medically controlled environment. However, the Trust has to overcome a significant funding challenge and develop the infrastructure the hospice will need, before we can deliver and sustain the quality service we intend to provide.
We are confident that significant progress will be made in 2012.
