The weather in early 2010 left a lot to be desired but our planned 'happenings' are more exciting: with a successful cycle ride under our belt (see photos on our Facebook Page) and the new partnership with the Stump Restoration Fund - Boston college and others, the Community Music Contest promises to be a venture involving all age groups.

MEN SOCKS & FROCKS on 7th August  is our latest and possibly most wacky challenge: hope you are up for it chaps - but also don't forget old favourites such as the RAFT RACE on 8th August. 

Alive and Kicking and the Butterfly Hospice Trust have organised this fun walk and 'beauty' pageant in which the participants are MEN!

We decided that it was about time that the chaps had an opportunity to do a sponsored walk as most walks are for ladies. The thing is though - you have to dress like women!!

The fun starts at 3pm at Wainfleet Road Playing field, SKEGNESS with Registration, a warm up & off at 5pm. The walk goes up Lumley Road along the front -then turns and joins the Burgh road to Lilywhites Football ground. (A route map will be sent or given on registration). There is a BBQ live music and dancing at Lillywhites until the early hours.

We shall be asking all our walkers to parade before judges in our beauty pageant with a difference.

There is an entry fee of £5 when you send in the Registration Form, but the idea is to raise as much sponsorship as you can for two worthwhile local charities which you can do directly or through our sponsor online link for the Butterfly Hospice Trust.
