Location of the Butterfly Hospice at rear of Pilgrim Hospital

Hospice Care is one of the UK’s outstanding success stories & is now a worldwide movement. Hospices care for the whole person aiming to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those of all ages with any life limiting illness. An important aspect of hospice care is that of supporting loved ones – friends and family.

It is a fact that nearly 50% of those admitted to a hospice for pain relief/symptom control return home once their condition is stabilised. The average stay in a hospice is between 6 – 10 days & then the patient can return to spend further invaluable time with their family.
